If I knew then what I know now, I would have changed my lifestyle a long time ago. I have always been just "skinny" my entire life until the past few years as my metabolsm has started to change. I started to gain weight and it literaly just creeped up on me. 5lbs turned into 10lbs and then 15lbs and that is when I said to myself, I have to stop this now before 15lbs turns into 50lbs!! I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain any weight. Now if you think about it, as I have started to now, eating anything I wanted kept me skinny by my metabolm but I was far from healthy. I do not believe in fad diets. If you are just looking for that “quick fix” to lose weight and do not want a lifestyle change that is what you hear most people doing for just that one summer vacation they may have. I look at it like I want to maintain healthy lifestyle by eating and training healthy that way I do not bounce back and forth with my body.
Being in shape and having a toned body is much different then just being “skinny”. It gives that overall look and feel of being toned and the more muscle you have the more calories you burn per day. Now everyone has their own end goal in mind. It doesn’t mean that your end results have to be the same as mine but means you reach the goal you set in your mind and also try to go passed that because I bet you can. My end goal was to gain muscle and lose fat. I wanted to look as fit and toned as I could while still keeping that girlish figure. One huge misconception is if you lift heavy as a girl you will start to look like a bodybuilder. You can use me as an example, that won’t happen unless you are taking some other suppliments as it is not genetically possible for a girl to just look like that. It takes a lot of hard work and months of training. It won’t just happen over night so you can lift as heavy as you want to get that toned physique!
